Not really. I used to be able to do quite alot with it when I was at school but the lack of practice seems to have killed me D:
Its just a case of finding the problem area and messing around with the spacing. And maybe change the colour of a clicked link, its too close to the bg colour

coz i've been wanting to change the navbar text and adding in pic instead of text but that doesnt seem to work

Tbh I think it looks better like that.
You should be able to add images to it through without changing the css.

Go down to index and change "Empty.gif" to the image you want
If the link doesn't work then its admin panel, display, image management and advanced.
Just mess around with in the admin panel and keep what you like. Save your layout first though so you can change it back if anything goes wrong and you can't remember how to fix it
